London is the largest city in England with about 9,000,000 residents spread across an area of around 1,572 km² (approx. 5,700 inhabitants per km²). The city consists of 32 boroughs plus the City of London and is crossed by the River Thames – ideal conditions for cold plunging activities.
If we assume that about 1.5% of the population practice ice baths regularly, this means around 135,000 ice bathers in London. Statistically, this splits into about 67,500 women and 67,500 men who regularly or occasionally take the plunge into the cold water.
