Nik Linder

Nik Linder is a freediver, apnoe instructor and a renowned breathwork trainer, holding several world records. In module 2, Nik teaches how mastering proper breathing techniques is key to both enduring extreme cold and enhancing everyday life. Nik will teach you unique breathwork techniques developed for cold water therapy.

In his career of more than 20 years, Nik Linder has broken several world records in distance diving under ice. Additionally, Nik is an experienced breathwork trainer, freediving instructor, and author, conducting workshops on ice diving and organizing trips, such as diving with orcas above the Arctic Circle. In the module “Breathwork”, you will learn from Nik why proper breathing in extreme situations, but also in our everyday-lives is crucial and how you can ensure a safe and effective cold plunge experience by using the right breathing technique.

  • 2013: World record “Longest underwater kiss – mouth to mouth breathing”: 20 min 11 sec. With Bianka Linder in Freiburg.
  • 2014: World record in the category “Static apnea dive hanging upside down”: 4 min 29 sec. Set in the Italian TV show ‘Lo Show dei Record’ in Milan.
  • 2018: World record in 24-hour dynamic apnea without fins (team): 198.25 km. Set in Freiburg (Germany).
  • 2020: World record in the category “Static apnea dive hanging upside down”: 4 min 51 sec. Set in the Sat.1 TV show Luke! Die Schule und ich.
